Yahoo Fantasy Baseball? In Yahoo fantasy baseball in the leader board there is a colum showing something called a "wavier". If anyone knows what that is please leave all info possible, because i am really confused John C replied: "Everyone is in a certain order to pick up guys as they come off of waivers. If 2 teams claim the same guy, the guy with the lowest waiver wire number gets the pick. 1 is best 10th is last. Hope this helps."
charles replied: "the waiver column you see in the standing is the position of every team in your league when it comes to picking a player who is currently on waivers of your league's free agent wire.
how do you know when a player is on waivers? just click the "Players" option that can be found atop of your league/team home. and when you see a player that said "waivers and a date" under the "Owner" column, it mean that player is on waiver and the date mentioned means that the player will come out of waiver on that date and is free to pick up by any team in your league.
if two or more teams in your league wants to acquire that same player on waiver, then the waiver position in the league standing will be used. the team who is number 1 in waiver column will get that player first. and if that team didnt want to get that player, the team who is number 2 will make his claim and so on and so forth. in other words, the lower the number in waiver column, the higher the waiver priority that team will have." What does the competition level in Yahoo Fantasy Baseball leagues mean? Joining a yahoo fantasy baseball league. Joining a public league, head to head format, but in the "competition level" there's either a casual or competitive choice. What do these actually mean, in relation to the league?
Is being in a casual league scored any different than a competitive league? Jessica replied: "It depends on the league rules but competitive league is full of fanatics. It gets serious." How do I email Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball, to notify a scoring error? I am told to email Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball to notify them of a scoring error and all of my leagues information. I have all the leagues information, I just need to know Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball email address. This way I can notify them of the scoring error. Casual Traveler replied: "Click on the link below and read what it says about scoring errors. I hope this helps.
" How does the point system on Yahoo Fantasy Baseball work? I was just wondering how the points on Yahoo Fantasy Baseball worked, and how soon after a game the points were posted on you league's home page. plstkazn replied: "Head to Head
-The statistics of your players are tallied up (as in the case of Homeruns, Runs etc...) or averaged (WHIP, ERA etc...). The player with the best statistic (Lowest ERA for example..) wins in that category. Win a majority of the points to win for the week. Total points are added to your cumulative score whether or not you win or lose.
In Rotisserie, your points are judged against everyone else, and not just 1 person per week." How early should I draft a pitcher in my Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball League? I am in a Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball league. I am planning out my mock draft. I have the first pick. But I wonder, how early do I get my first pitcher? 2nd round, 3rd, 4th? If you can spare the time I would appreciate your advice on when to start drafting relief pitchers. MIKE replied: "If you want a really good pitcher, I'd suggest to wait no later than the third round. If you want a pitcher who is very solid, but not excellent, I'd draft some position players first and then choose the pitcher."
jreb64 replied: "Draft bats first, Pitcher in the fifth round. You won't get the stars or the ones that may be injured. Just pick a solid guy."
the_frostylad replied: "The top tier of starting pitchers is pretty deep and generally you can wait several rounds before taking one and still be okay. However, if I was at the end of the third round and a top guy (Tim Lincecum or Johan Santana) was still staring at me, I'd consider that a good value pick and take action a little earlier than usual.
As for relief pitchers, let somebody else start the run on top closers and let the sheep in your league follow. Guys like Papelbon and Nathan always go too early considering they're essentially one-stat players, especially when the likes of a Frank Francisco or Trevor Hoffman will be there several rounds later. In my keeper league last year I got Joakim Soria in what was basically the 11th round, then Kerry Wood in the 18th. Values like those are available every year if you just keep a level head during the draft and be aware of what your team is and who's still available." How long is the final week in Yahoo fantasy baseball? I'm in a head to head yahoo fantasy baseball league and I'm wondering how long the final championship game is? It says week 25, but then the dates actually show it to be 2 weeks long.... AND a friend of mine says that it goes until the final game of the regular season... anybody know who is right? ordinaryaverageguy replied: "2 weeks!"
macballer30 replied: "It lasts the rest of the season, which is about 2 weeks.
Every game counts." What does GB mean in Yahoo fantasy baseball? What does GB stand for and how is it calculated in a head to head yahoo fantasy baseball league? Thank you. help replied: "green bay"
cypres replied: "I'm guessing its games back. Or games behind."
Jordan replied: "GB stands for Games Back. Basically it is calculated by taking the amount of wins you have and subtracting them from the leaders wins.
PS for the other answer, green bay doesn't have a baseball team. They have NOTHING to do with baseball. And furthermore, the packers are a Football team."
jpbofohio replied: "It means "Games Back" in the standings.
If your record was 6-4 and the person in first place is 8-2, that means you are 2 Games Back.
As your league probably has ties when you and your head-to-head opponent tie a category, you can get half games back as well.
If you were 6-3-1 and your league leader is 8-2, you are only 1 1/2 games back instead."
woodfencepros replied: "ugh...it means Game Ball. If you do well, you get a game ball...the most game balls wins!
Good luck with dat...."
The tan man replied: "Games Behind" How do i delete a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball League? I started a Fantasy Baseball League on yahoo. It is a free league. I had six teams and we drafted are teams. I then wanted to add two more teams, but because we had already drafted i couldnt add the other players. So i thought i would delete the existing league and start a new one. I thought this would be easy, but for some reason i can not find anywhere to delete the league.
If you know that would be helpful. Jay G replied: "It can only be done If you're the commissioner, look for it under commissioner tools or something, it should say terminate league or something along those lines."
dwright replied: "if you have already drafted then you can only delete it if you are the commissioner. if you haven't drafted yet then you can delete it by simply clicking on the edit teams button and then click the delete team button."
popoqwerty89 replied: "Wow, I looked all over in my league and couldn't find it anywhere. I checked comish tools and everything. I would try emailing yahoo, or something. Either that or just keep messing around in there. Worst case senerio you just leave it be."
#1 Cubs Fan replied: "Only the Commissioner can delete a fantasy league, even after the dratf, but only until the season starts. Once the season starts it can't be deleted. My advice to you is to make a new league with the 8 teams and forget about the other one or better yet, play out both leagues. Good luck." Who should i try and get for my Yahoo Fantasy baseball team? I created a yahoo fantasy baseball team and tonight we are having a online draft. Who besideds the obvious superstars should i try and get, also who are some good pitchers besides johan santana that i should get? Mohammed â–¼{Suspended} replied: "Pitchers: Brandon Webb, Josh Beckett, Jake Peavy, Detroit Tigers pitchers" What happens to Yahoo! fantasy baseball scoring in a head-to-head league when a live game is postponed? I play fantasy baseball in a head-to-head league on Yahoo! I had a bunch of Tigers and White Sox starting yesterday, and the game got rained out. I'm guessing that if the game isn't played that week, then I just don't get any stats from those players. Is that true? RegularJerseyGuy replied: "Yes that is true. No game..No stats. When the game is eventually made up is when the stats count. So if there is not a Double header or the game is not made up in the same scoring week you are out of luck."
Jeffrey W replied: "If fantasy baseball rules are really that closely related to major league rules then yes but a few factors may apply. One factor that may apply would be whether or not the real game went five innings, and who the teams are that are playing. If they aren't in the same division and the teams won't be meeting again until near the end of the regular season that could be why they can't make up the game right away. The timing of that make-up game could be critical because if those teams don't meet again until that late in the season the league could already be in the fantasy post season and teams may not have the same players."
bruhaha replied: "They will award you with all the points once that game gets completed, which will be sometime soon in the future. You'll get all the points at once." |
